I picked this photo to interpret the views of both Mickalene Thomas and Cindy Sherman ideals all in one picture that I have taken of one of my friends and model. I feel that this picture shows the slight vulnerability of being lost and I depict the uncertainty.  even though that there is a slight vulnerability you can see the strength in her face that she can get through it. this was all a product of what she wanted to depict and what I tried to help her depict with the slight edit that I did for her.

Mickalene Thomas her works and art consisted of showing a woman's strength and depicting that female are not to be objectified. she wants to flip the typical mindset that males have the power to belittle and demean females she wants to go across that grain and flip it the opposite way. she wants to show the power that the black female has over the day of age we live in now and the full capability and potential that they can have.

Cindy Sherman, she is a person that believes that you should be able to depict oneself the way that you want to and change your self through a photo. she also likes to show that you can even set up a false sense as of where are you are using fake foreground and back round. also using the clothing and accessories and the makeup to depict a false sense of who you want to be. but in a tail, the fake representation that you want to depict is still gonna be a part of you no matter what a person may think.
